Make sure you do these checklist before launching your products or services online on the web:
Copywriting - All the content, including but not limited to sales letter, thank you page, download page, squeeze page, about us, contact, etc.
Graphics - Any graphics you want to use on your website.
Product creation - Time to create your product. If you are a service provider, you can skip this process.
Affiliate page - This is very important. You must have somekind of partnership relations with other people to help you sell your products or services. Focus on your affiliate page copywriting. Make it as attractive as possible for your partners.
Merchant account setup - This part is easy for most people. You can use paypal, clickbank, paydotcom, or any other similar services. If you own a big e-commerce website, then you might want to use payment gateway such as authorize.net or charge.com
This is also the time to set up your online shopping cart if you sell multiple items. Think about payment gateway as a cashier in a department store. And online shopping cart is, well, shopping cart to put multilple items before your customers pay.
Autoresponder - Every effective website should have at least one email list. Set up your auto responder to keep in touch with your subscribers. Load a series of messages to drive your desired action. Use services like aweber.com or getresponse.com. For a more comprehensive mailing capabilities, use icontact.com formerly known as intellicontact.
Set a pre-launch and launch date - It will make a difference in your effort. You are more likely to push yourself to finish the project if you set a prelaunch and launch date beforehand. You wouldn’t want to delay your launch when the whole community is anticipating your launch date.
Script creation - Any script you want to use on your website.
Admin and members control panel - If you run a membership site, you must consider this process.
Marketing materials - Remember I said to focus on your affiliates? This section is for their marketing materials. Most websites use banners. Other industries find ebooks as great marketing materials.
Audio and video – You should consider this section very seriously. Think about it. This is the only time in history where TV media can be accessed on the internet. Before, internet was all “paper” material. You can deliver your messages more efficiently using audio and video.
One time offer, Upsells, downsells - You should have other alternatives to sell your products or services. Offer different bundles, prices, gifts, etc. The more sales process you have in your funnel, the more chances you have for people to buy from you.
JV partners - Time to recruit your strategic partners. These are people who get bigger commission checks or better deals than your regular affiliates. They will bring in 80% of sales made by your affiliates
